Acer saccharum: Sugar Maple

This stately tree is synonymous with all things Canadian. Beyond producing the delicious annual maple syrup crop we are so proud of, it is the leaf of this Maple which graces our nation’s flag. Acer x freemanii: Freeman Maple

Acer x freemanii is a cross of the Silver Maple (Acer saccharinum) and the Red Maple (Acer rubrum). The Freeman Maple exhibits the strengths and best attributes of both its parents: it has the adaptabilty and fast rate of growth seen in Silver Maples, as well as the strenth and elegance of the Red Maple.
